Just finished up a short session. Think I got about 1.5k hands in today or so....
Started off really badly, with Flush<2pair twice, and some other random cooler, but I clawed it back gradually to finish up circa 350 for the day, so I'm dead happy. The 2 house outdraws on my flushes were paid back with a couple of flushes hitting at the right times for me in big pots so karma wins!
Got a lot of work done in the garden at home, which really needs to be done considering I'm going on holidays on monday. Speaking of which roll on Rock Am Ring!
Anyways I'm wrecked tired and have a long day tomorrow so gl.

May 28th Update

So this is my first two weeks of the summer....
iPoker 50NL and 100NL 6max. I play 6 tables usually, FWIW, but I am comfortable with anything between 4 and 6.
Gone well. Started at 50NL and ground it up. Around about hand 10k I started integrating 100NL tables into my play and now i'm playing solely 100NL. I had an extended period of running below EV, round about my breakeven stretch, which was very very annoying. Running like the sun the last few 1000 hands though so its all good!
I feel really really in the zone since exams finished. Even during the breakeven stretch I was pwning. The games just seem really sickly soft at the moment. I'm running over the regs and the fish are plentiful, so all is good in the world!
My biggest leak atm is that I feel I am not aggressive enough. I know that seems contrary to my statement of "I'm running over the regs," but its true. I take really expoitable lines every now and again, and I auto fold hands sometimes that I really should think of turning into bluffs.... Luckily I have come across no good regs as of yet!
I'm generally happy with the rest of my game and feel no great need to change atm. I am confident my game could beat 200NL, so will be just trying to plug leaks for the time being. Hopefully....

Introduction!
Student type, thinks he's smart, likes the gamble....
You know the picture. You've seen hundreds of my type around if you have any familiarity with poker!
Basically I'm a UCD student, doing Actuarial, that thinks he can play poker.
As with most people, I started off at home. My bro would play a decent amount and would be quite good, so it was natural that he would teach me a little. He'd make me sit down and play him HU pretty often for a regular confidence boost to assure him he really didn't suck lol. I learnt a hell of a lot from these infrequent and generally short games, so that by the stage I moved onto pub tourneys I was pwning. I cashed 3 of my first 4 tourneys, with 2 wins, and that was the end of that!
I've progressed from these €25 donkfests to slightly better donkaments. When I moved to college, I found casinos, and would head on every couple of weeks for a small tourney. Gradually ground a roll up. Got a good score one day, sat into the live cash game with €100 flopped quads the first hand I played, and obv after that I played much more cash!
Since that I've obv had major swongs, being life busto a couple of times (due to the bitch that is life rake!), and generally ground up a roll from a small amount again. This time hopefully I can keep my roll without having to withdraw for life expenses, so here goes tha pokah bloggage to keep track of it, and hopefully help me keep focus!
